At the end of the day, it comes down to how effectively you can deliver the club to the back of the ball on the correct path. Sounds simple enough, right? Not. Our mission is to get you on the right path as quickly as possible - and through the use of the world's most sophisticated teaching system and integrated technologies - the Nicklaus Academy will do just that (and keep you engaged in the learning process) without making the game harder than it already is.
The Jack Nicklaus Coaching Studio brings together the best of today's available technologies into a very effective and efficient teaching system. High-speed video captured from multiple angles. A 1000+ point pressure / balance mat displays and synchronizes your movement from the ground up. Industry leading ball flight monitors capture every piece of relevant data from the delivery of the club to the ball, to your swing speed, your ball speed, your spin rate, your launch angle, your efficiency at impact, your distance and accuracy, and more - all at the same time as we capture your swing on video and your pressure data. There is not a more complete and integrated analysis system on the market, from anyone.
Add in floor level video monitors that display the live feed from the video capture so you can work on your posture or weight movement 'live'. Add in an automatic lighting system that pumps in the necessary light to capture video at 210 fps - almost 10 times of standard video capture systems. Add in an automatic audio trigger that allows the system to capture each strike of the ball regardless of you waggle time, mis-cues, whatever. And it all plays back instantly on a flat panel monitor mounted right in front of the student for instant expert analysis.
A computerized putting lab captures not only eight valuable characteristics of your putting stroke, but we also capture video so we can combine both visual information and data. This is ideal for assessment, correction, and training.
Additional technologies such as K-Vest break down the kinesthetic chain as it relates to your golf swing. From posture to rotation (under and over) to your hips at impact and more, K-Vest can provide the detailed analysis that is only possible from an MRI exam.
The Groove assesses your ability to focus, maintain tempo and timing patterns, and make changes in both tempo and timing - critical to understanding what is going on between your ears. From the base assessment, your instructor knows how best to teach you - through visualization or through feel. And knows how receptive you will be to swing and tempo adjustments. With training sessions, The Groove can also improve your focus, especially under pressure and late in the round as our minds start to wander.
Toss in Whole Body Vibration to warm up those golf muscles before your session so each swing can be maximized from the start, and to cool you down so your back, neck and shoulders all feel better than ever the day after, efficiency is our motto. A FreeMotion Cable Cross is available to teach you how to feel certain positions and movements that hitting ball after ball will never teach your mind or your muscles. Combined with the video / pressure mat / launch monitor system, the feedback and results are immediate. And there is not a facility with more time tested and proven teaching aids - each one prescribed to fix your tendency and swing fault.
